What if my hair is medium or thick?
MyBobette is not designed for medium, thick, or coarse textures. Those hair types benefit from different cutting methods.

How do I know if my hair is fine or thin?
Fine refers to strand size. Thin refers to density.
A simple density guide:
• Dime-sized ponytail → low density
• Nickel-sized → medium density
• Quarter-sized → high density
Fine hair can exist at any density. MyBobette works best when the hair behaves as fine and benefits from a clean, one-length outline.

Can fine hair have layers?
Fine hair generally looks fuller at one length.
Minimal layers may suit fine hair with high density, but lower-density hair often loses structure with layering. A clean outline is the most reliable choice for fine or thinning hair.

How long does a cut take?
After a little practice, most trims take around 10 to 15 minutes.
Should I cut wet or dry hair?
Clean, damp hair is recommended when starting.
Can I cut a little at a time?
Yes. Many women start longer and refine gradually over time.
How do I avoid cutting too much?
Small trims and restraint. Fine hair needs very little removed to look refreshed.

Do I need special scissors?
Sharp shears make a noticeable difference in how cleanly fine hair cuts.
The Core and Mastery kits include professional-quality shears selected specifically for this method.
If you choose the Foundation kit and plan to use your own scissors, look for 5.25 to 5.5 inch hairdressing shears designed for clean, controlled cutting.
How long does the template last?
Years, with normal care.
Can I travel with it?
Yes. MyBobette is designed to be easy to take with you.
The Foundation and Core kits include a velour drawstring pouch.
The Mastery kit includes a structured leather zip case for added protection.
